Purpose

The purpose of the Environment Working Group is to address solar energy and energy efficiency issues, reclaimed water usage, water harvesting, recycling, and other environmental issues.

  • Concern with broken solar water heating systems
• Solar tax incentives
  • Education: information clearinghouse regarding federal, state, city, Tucson Electric incentives and tax credits
• Studies
  • Reports and updates for ongoing energy, water, and other studies

  • Cost/benefit analysis
• Water harvesting
  • Education, community projects, community help
• Recycling programs
  • Reuse vs. recycling: styrofoam popcorn, eyeglasses, cell phones, leftover building materials center, moving boxes, etc.
