About Civano Speakers Series.

The Civano Speakers Series—a monthly general interest lecture followed by discussion, open to all neighbors—is one part of the natural evolution of lifelong learning and community interaction at the Community of Civano in southeast Tucson.

The Civano Speakers Series features diverse and intelligent lectures, readings, and discussions that are visual and interactive in nature. Each session pertains not only to Civano, but to the world around us, often led by a Civano resident or friend who is an expert in the field. Lectures are also made by other local, national, and even international folks. View upcoming sessions.

Each session is generally held on the third Sunday of the month, beginning at 7 p.m. and following the community's 5:30 p.m. soup potluck. Sessions last from one to two hours, while lectures themselves are usually half and hour to an hour in length. All sessions are currently scheduled to be held at the HOA Activity Center, located at 10571 East Seven Generations Way in the Civano Neighborhood 1 Neighborhood Center (view map).

Support for the Civano Speakers Series is generously provided by volunteers and sponsors. Find out about sponsoring.
